Bob and Joyce
Adventurers in Norway, 2004

Cruising in the Trollfjord. Only a few miles long, but quite attractive.
Trollfjord near the Lofoten Islands
Fish farms. This may be the origin of that "farm-raised salmon" we see in the market.
The marker for the Arctic Circle at 66 degrees North latitude. The weather was in the high 70s F as we passed this location heading south.
A passenger relaxing with the newspaper as the sights go by the window.
This hole goes right through this huge mountain. It is about 50 feet in diameter.
Back in Trondheim
Bob posing with one of the local Trolls.
A mine that once was found in the harbor. We visited several museums that documented the difficult times during the 5 year occupation of Norway during WWII and the heroic residents who refused to give up hope. Many of the towns of northern Norway were burned to the ground during the German retreat in 1945.

We took a cable car to the 3000 foot mountain overlooking Bergen. It is favorite spot for hang glider pilots, especially on a clear day. At the top we heard a wonderful piano recital and reflected on our just completed cruise.
Bergen near the waterfront. The funicular in at the top
The harbor at Oslo.
The sun sets for us for the last time in Oslo  on the evening before our departure.
