The Meiji Shrine is in a park near the center of Tokyo with a long and broad entranceway.
The structure in the foreground is provided for those persons who wish to make a small donation as a token of appreciation while saying prayers.
Upon leaving the park we went to the nearby Harajuku Station. This is a gathering place for those wishing to express individuality - and for those who wish to watch those doing that. Lots of leather and black everything.
