Adventurers across the North Atlantic Ocean

September-October, 2008

We have returned from a 21 day trip across the North Atlantic Ocean.

On September 14 we flew from Washington, DC to Copenhagen. After two days visiting the sights in Denmark, we boarded the Crown Princess for a much slower return to America. Our route included visits to Dover and Canterbury in England, Dublin, Belfast, then Qaqortoq in Greenland, St. John's Newfoundland, New York City, and finally Fort Lauderdale on October 5.

We had hoped to visit Iceland again, but weather conditions were not suitable for the large ship to make that port.

Fortunately, we had already been told to get into the life boats before this incident in Greenland ...... stop back later for details on how it came out ........

The trip covered almost 12,000 miles - nearly half the distance around the earth. The image below shows our exact track using GPS information on Google Earth.

I have many more photos to share; I will process them over the next few weeks. Stop back.
