Cherry Blossoms 2004 in Washington DC
Washington, DC - 2007

Pictures by Robert Graf

Washington, DC is famous for the more than 3,700 cherry trees at various locations around the monuments. The Tidal basin itself has 1,405 Yoshino trees.

The photos you see here today were taken on March 28, 2007 when the stage of blooming was about 15%.

The majority of the pink blossoms are still like this - not in full bloom

I will return to the blossoms in a few days to capture this beauty of nature during the peak bloom. If you can't come to visit in person, please bookmark this page and stop back in early April to enjoy the photos at peak bloom for 2007.
