Cherry Blossoms 2004

Washington, DC is famous for the more than 3,700 cherry trees at various locations around the monuments. The Tidal basin itself has 1,405 Yoshino trees which reached the peak bloom on April 7-9, 2005 - the latest in at least 15 years.

The cherry blossoms had NOT begun to bloom in the Nation's Capital when I visited the Tidal Basin on Monday, March 7, to take a few pictures to show you what it looks like before the show begins.

I hope you will enjoy the pictures without the blooms. Now check out the cherry blossom pictures from 2005 and compare the difference before and during the blooming period.  Please sign the guest book and let us know what you think. Best wishes to you for the spring season!
