Washington, DC is famous for the more than 3,700 cherry trees at various locations around the monuments. The Tidal basin itself has 1,405 Yoshino trees which reached the peak bloom on April 9, 2005. See also what this area looked like on March 7, 2005 before the blossoms emerged. |
