Washington, DC is famous for the more than 3,700 cherry trees at various locations around the monuments. The Tidal basin itself has 1,405 Yoshino trees which reached the peak bloom on April 9, 2005.

Unlike most people here today, this man did not have the patience to use a camera!

Paddle boats are available to give ambitious people a chance to get away from the crowds.

This April day was delightful for a picnic or watching lots of people

Entertainment is provided on the steps of the Jefferson Monument.
