The cherry blossoms began to bloom in the Nation's Capital. Joyce and I visited the Tidal Basin on Sunday, March 28, to take a few pictures to share with you. Washington, DC is famous for the more than 3,700 cherry trees at various locations around the monuments. The Tidal basin itself has 1,405 Yoshino trees which "performed" for us on this day and provided much of the source of the beauty reported here in our pictures. (The actual peak of the blooming occurred on March 29, 2004). We hope you will enjoy the pictures. Please sign the guest book and let us know what you think. Best wishes to you for the spring season! |
