Bob and Joyce in Australia - 2003 The Bat Lady holds a fruit bat. She rescues injured and ill bat and returns them (if possible) to the wild. She had about 100 bats at the time we were there. One time she had 1000 adults and 300 juveniles - kept her busy. Interesting operation called "Bat Reach".

Bob and Joyce in Australia - 2003 During the normal wet season (summer), this gorge is filled with raging water. Now it is the dry season (winter) and It has been dryer than normal, hence a trickle.

The Sky Rail and Train are one of the major land attactions in Cairns. The other key attraction is the Great Barrier Reef.
