| Below are Google Earth images of the actual expedition waypoints. The trip began on November 14 in Ushuaia, Argentina (near Cape Horn) and ended in Christchurch, New Zealand on December 13, 2008. The southernmost point was 78 degrees 36 minutes 9.8 seconds South . Our deeper penetration was blocked by thick ice nearly six feet thick. Expect to see the segments of the trip with photos in more detail. | ||
